Mornington Peninsula Drive – Sunday 31 October 2021

We took our 1980 Mercedes-Benz 450SL for a quick run down the Mornington Peninsula yesterday. Car cover off, a quick hose down and she was ready to go! Such a great car and such a pleasure to drive.

Our good friend David O’Dwyer joined us in his Porsche Boxter. It was perfect weather for top down and wind in the hair. Stopping in Hastings for some lunch, enjoying fish n chips under a tree on the beach overlooking the pier before moving on to explore the best of what the Peninsula has to offer.

BMW Drivers Club Melbourne ‘Out of Lockdown Drive’ - Sunday 24 September 2021

Over 30 cars joined in the run for a fantastic turn out for the clubs first run out of lockdown. A huge thanks to Jo Mawson for organising the event and to Peter Williams for the fabulous drive route.

Meeting at Hastings Marina we took a scenic drive through the Mornington Peninsula stopping at Flinders Pier for a chat then up to the beautiful Seawinds Gardens at Arthurs Seat for a picnic lunch.

It was wonderful to get the car covers off after so long and we enjoyed catching up with some of the club members we haven’t seen for a while.

Thanks to BMW Drivers Club Melbourne for another great event. We look forward to joining in on the next drive day soon.

Mercedes-Benz Club (Vic) Bellarine Peninsula and Queenscliff Drive Day - Sunday 5 December
What can we say, such a great day! Perfect weather, a great bunch of people and some beautiful cars.
After a lovely cruise through Geelong and along the Bellarine Peninsula we stopped for a picnic lunch. It was nice to meet other club members and all round was a really enjoyable day.
We would like to thank MBCV event organisers Robert Dariol, Neo Yeuteng and Chris McDermott for such a well organised event. And thanks to club members Mark Eastwood, Rosemary Thiele and Sue & Ray Lodder for welcoming us into the fold.
