OVERVIEW
German Auto Haus is looking for a highly motivated, qualified and experienced automotive mechanic/technician for our fast-paced service outlet in Cheltenham.
This person will be responsible for ensuring the optimum functioning, performance, safety and reliability of all vehicles coming into the workshop, including those vehicles worked on by direct reports.
THE CANDIDATE
A skilled automotive technician who can perform diagnoses, analysis, service, repairs, maintenance and testing of technical and mechanical faults on all models of German marques Audi, BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Porsche and Volkswagen past and present whilst providing guidance, training and advice in these areas to any direct reports.

SCOPE
- Automotive service, repairs and maintenance
- Fault testing and diagnosis
- Road testing
- Pre-Purchase Inspections
- Pre-Sale Inspections
- Roadworthy Testing
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ensure workflows proceed in a timely manner and all jobs completed on time
- Ensure all job cards submitted on time and filled out correctly with all required information
OHS RESPONSIBILITIES
- Not to put at risk their own health and safety or the health and safety of others
- To comply with all health and safety policies and procedures
- To wear protective clothing where required and as appropriate, including but not limited to: ear muffs, safety boots, safety goggles, gloves and respiratory masks
HOURS AND LOCATION
28 Viking Court, Cheltenham VIC 3192
Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 5:30 pm
One hour lunch break from 12:00noon to 1:00pm
Staff uniform provided

POSITION VACANT - SHOP HAND

We have a position vacant for a shop hand at our Cheltenham workshop.
This person will be responsible for keeping the workshop and all associated tools, machinery and equipment well organised, clean, tidy and in good condition.
Other responsibilities include customer concierge services, washing and vacuuming cars and receiving and collecting parts.
We’re specifically looking for a mature, responsible person with previous automotive experience. Preferably someone who knows their way around an automotive workshop.
This position would suit a retired mechanic and could be offered as either a part time or full time role to suit the right person.
